You have thirty minutes. You spend ten deciding.

By the time the tuner, the backing track, the tab and the scale chart are all open, half your practice is gone and you play the riff you already know for the fifth time.

Everything between picking up the guitar and getting better.

  1. Play with context

Build a progression and rehearse it with a backing band that follows your chords, your key and your tempo. Recorded bass, drums, piano and strings, not a canned loop.

  2. See the theory

Scales, chords, triads, CAGED shapes and chord tones drawn where they sit on your fretboard, in the key you are already playing.

  3. Train what matters

Short scored reps for timing, picking technique, fretboard recall and your ear. You see the number move instead of guessing.

  4. Keep momentum

Guitar PS reads what you finished and what you skipped, then builds tomorrow around the parts you keep missing.

Write it. Publish it. Or keep it to yourself.

Every tab, score and chart starts as a draft only you can open. Publish it and it carries your name, lands on your author page, and other players can open it and vote it up.

01

Interactive tabs

Write, import, edit, loop and slow down full six-string tablature, then publish it for other players.

02

Sheet music

Keep PDF, MusicXML, PNG, JPEG and WebP scores filed by title and artist in private storage.

03

Chord charts

Store ChordPro and plain-text charts beside everything else, so a set list is never a scavenger hunt.

The questions players actually ask.

Is Guitar PS really free?

Yes. Every tool, every trainer, the shared library and the daily routine. No paid tier, no trial clock, no card.

Do I need to install anything?

No. Guitar PS runs in a modern browser on desktop, tablet and phone. The tuner asks for your microphone only when you open it, and that audio stays in your browser.

Do I need to read sheet music?

No. Tablature, chord diagrams and fretboard views carry most of the workspace. Sheet music is there for the players who want it.

Is it for beginners or advanced players?

Both. Beginners get chord shapes and a daily structure. Advanced players get triads, chord tones, CAGED, ear training and a backing band that follows a progression.

Who can see what I upload?

You decide. New tabs, scores and charts are drafts that only you can open. Publishing one puts it in the shared library under your author name, where other players can open it and vote on it. Unpublish and it goes back to being a draft.

Can I play tabs other people wrote?

Yes. The shared library carries everything players have published, in tablature, sheet music and chord-chart form. Open one in the player, loop the hard bar and slow it down like any tab of your own.

What happens to my practice history?

It stays on your account and syncs across the browsers you sign in from. You can export a full local backup from Settings whenever you want.
